CPS LED Lighting Launches Innovative Bacteria-Resistant Highbay Lighting for the Food Processing Industry

After two years of vigorous product development and field testing, CPS LED Lighting announces the official launch on December 1 of their innovative new Pres-sure Light LED High Bay Lighting Series (CPS-PSL) featuring NSF certification for food processing applications. The CPS-PSL series also meets IP69K food processing standards and has been tested according to the standard of IEC 60529:2013 degrees of protection, and ISO 20653:2013.

With its smooth domed design, polyester powder-coated surface, no exposed screws, no glass, and IP66 Rated ash down fixtures, these new highbay lamps eliminate the accumulation of dust, water, and dangerous bacteria that can hide and build up during the daily high pressure chemical wash down process required in the food processing industry.

"The Pres-sure Light LED is designed specifically to meet all the health and safety requirements of any food processing facility," says CPS LED Lighting president Sean Tanner. "The daily chemical wash down process has been challenging for food plant managers because bacteria can get caught in the grooves, pits, cracks, and crevices of most highbay lighting fixtures. Not only that, but durability is a factor when using 1600 psi water pressure in the cleaning process. Over time, those powerful jets inadvertently cause peeling or loosening of epoxy paint chips used in previous designs."

Tanner says that CPS LED's PSL Series lights are made from non-toxic materials with an epoxy resin powder coat that will not chip or peel. Furthermore, they provide a thermal management solution free from the traditional external finning caused by maintaining a high level of optical efficiency.

The CPS-PSL series hits the marketplace on Friday, December 1, and CPS LED has demo units available in stock. There are three models available in 100W, 150W, and 200W and they come in white or silver.
