Neuvition Releases High Resolution LiDAR with Video Fusion for Autonomous Driving and 3D Imaging

Neuvition, announced Titan M1, the first version of its 480 lines HD video LiDAR which has resolution of 1280 x 480 and 1.5 million points/sec data rate with multiple returns and distance up to 200 meters. Also, the new LiDAR product uses a 1550 nm wavelength laser which performs better in certain weather conditions compared to the 905 nm laser.

The Titan M1 is featured with dynamically adjustable system and video fusion. With the adjustable system, LiDAR could be amended to use different resolution, power, scan density, and distribution pattern. The video camera of Titan M1 generates point cloud with our without color to generate 3D model when combining with distance data. The function benefits autonomous driving and other applications like 3D imaging or surveillance.

The product is pending for a patent for its two-piece design with a main control and a compact LiDAR head which could be installed in different applications. The Chairman of Neuvition, Jian Lin, said“With the self-driving car and other LiDAR applications getting smarter, these applications will want to control the LiDAR more easily and more dynamically. We design the LiDAR like a smart phone which can be easily controlled with software or APIs. This will make it much easier to adapt for different applications and environments.”
