Radical Innovation in Hospitality Design

This exciting free session was hosted by Vern Yip! Created by Hospitality Design magazine and the John Hardy Group, and sponsored by Global Allies, this contest searches for the next big idea in hospitality design. Three finalists selected by jurors including Wing Chao, founding principal of Wing T. Chao Architect; Claude Amar, managing director of the John Hardy Group; and other illuminati; discussed their projects with the jurors for the audience to review. IIDA with partner Hospitality Design hosted the IIDA/HD Product Design Competition to honor innovation, function and aesthetic advancements in the hospitality industry. Winners were announced at the Platinum Circle Awards® Gala.

ASID (American Society of Interior Designers)

ASID presented HD Student Day for design students who want one-on-one guidance regarding their futures within our industry. The Career Exchange featured nearly two dozen design professionals offering free advice on topics including portfolio review, resume assessment and career direction.
