In April, Atomic Blue, the U.S. LED company, announced that its high power UVC LED has passed the test by NIH for killing 99.9999% COVID-19 virus. Now, the company’s UVC germicidal light has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Atomic Blue's ultraviolet light has been registered with the FDA as a Disinfectant – Medical Device with the product code LRJ under device Class 1. The UVC fixture, known for its ability to eradicate the COVID-19 virus, is now approved for commercial use. This device was tested by the NIH (National Institute of Health) and shown to eradicate the COVID-19 Virus from surfaces of N95 respirator by 99.99%.
Atomic Blue’s UVC LED lamp uses 40 LEDs to deliver 16W UVC radiation with wavelengths of 260-280nm per square meter in close distance. The product is able to operate 80,000 hours.
