Signify Works with Honeywell to Promote UV-C, Smart and Human-centric Lightings

Signify has formed a strategic alliance with Honeywell on December 21, 2020 and will work on the comprehensive smart lighting solutions in the field of commercial buildings.

According to the agreement, Honeywell’s Building Management Systems and its Forge enterprise performance management platform will be integrated with Signify’s Interact connected lighting system and software and its UV-C disinfection lighting. In addition, Signify will also offer human-centric lighting such as NatureConnect.

With Signify’s connected LED lighting system Interact Office, about 70% of the energy used for lighting and installing building controls and sensing can be saved. For example, it can help Honeywell save up to 30% of facility energy costs.

The comprehensive smart lighting solutions can be applied in various places, including commercial buildings, airport, hotel, hospital, classroom, retail store and stadium. Currently, Honeywell is deploying the comprehensive smart lighting solutions for some of its global offices, including Signify’s UV-C air disinfection products.

Besides, it’s worth noting that Signify and Honeywell are offering a complete solution to a network of leading eye specialist clinics in Malaysia called OPTIMAX Eye Specialists in order to help improve the air quality and surface disinfection efforts.

The clinics are adopting Signify’s UV-C lighting solutions in upper air luminaries, stand-alone trolleys and in Honeywell-controlled fan coil units. Moreover, Honeywell’s Healthy Buildings dashboard can be used to control and monitor the lighting products in the clinics.

Overall, the mixture of building control technology, smart LED lighting system, human-centric lighting and UV-C disinfection lighting can save energy for commercial buildings, improve wellbeing and increase work efficiency.
