ANSAN, South Korea – Seoul Viosys Co., Ltd. (“Seoul”) (KOSDAQ 092190), a company specializing in optical semiconductor devices, announced its provisional performance of 107 billion won in the 4Q of 2021. On a consolidated basis in 2021, annual sales were KRW 490.5 billion, up 13.7% from the previous year.
Thanks to the quarterly growth of micro LED sales such as indoor commercial displays (Indoor Signage) for four consecutive quarters from the first half of 2021, Seoul Viosys is positioning itself as a next-generation LED technology powerhouse.
Seoul Viosys unveils its WICOP mc (WICOP + Micro Pixel) products at CES 2022 this year, which adopt the world’s first No-Wire & No-Package WICOP technology. An FHD 82-inch display with 6.2 million WICOP mc chips and a 40-inch display with 2.8 million chips will be installed in the exhibition so that visitors can experience the vivid micro-display. In addition, a micro-display for VR, which is the core technology of metaverse (3D virtual world), is also planned to be introduced in a separate VIP room.
Seoul Viosys has the largest global market share in the UV LED sector. In order to reduce the recent spread of COVID-19 and to ensure the safety of people living in Korea, Seoul Viosys provided Violeds Air Purifying Sterilizers free of charge that can reduce the indoor COVID-19 infection rate by 1/30, with a good intention to support Korean small business owners. Along with that, Seoul Viosys announced that it would provide the Air Purifying Sterilizer license to the partners who can supply them worldwide.
Detailed sales, profit and loss in the 4Q of 2021, and sales forecasts in the 1Q of 2022 will be announced in detail in early February.
