Lumileds held a grand opening event to celebrate officially opening the doors of its new office and innovation center in Shanghai. Lumileds is making an important investment in pursuing further growth in one of the biggest global markets in automotive, illumination and mobile.  

Brightek entered the automotive LED lighting market in 2007, and all its high power LEDs are manufactured in Taiwan, while its low to mid-power LED products are produced in Shenzhen, China. The company is a 10-year veteran on the market and provided clients with many interior and exterior automotive lighting solutions including brake lights, Compound Rear Lights (CRL), Daylight Running Lights (DRL), turn lights, and decorative lights. The company is working closely with clients in R&D and product certification.

In addition to the Osram application center for aftermarket products in Herbrechtingen, there is now a second one in Asia, which was officially opened in Shanghai on November 9, 2015. This brings Osram closer to business customers in the Asian region. On the one hand, it helps to deal with requests from customers in Asia more quickly, and on the other, technical queries and issues can be resolved together with the customer.

The exhibition of LED China 2015 in Shanghai brought a perfect ending right before Chinese Mid Autumn Festival. High definition LED displays are everywhere at the show. Exhibitors demonstrated wide applications of high definition LED displays such as interactive LED screens, video walls of control rooms, alternative LED displays to replace LCD or projection screens for meeting rooms and theaters.

Bridgelux announced a major expansion of its China operations, significantly increasing its investment and capabilities in China. To better serve its rapidly growing customer base in China, Bridgelux has opened a major R&D center in Xiamen dedicated to supporting the development and manufacture of new solid state lighting products, including extensions to its best in class V Series Chip-on-Board (COB) product line.  In addition, Bridgelux will be opening an applications lab in Shanghai’s Hongqiao district to assist its China customers with the design and enhancement of lamps and fixtures that integrate Bridgelux’s highly regarded LED light source products.
