e2v Adds New Sapphire 2-megapixel CMOS Image Sensor to its Product Portfolio

e2v’s Sapphire family of CMOS image sensors has been expanded to include a new 2-megapixel variant, which is manufactured with a microlens designed to accept a Chief Ray Angle (CRA) as low as zero degrees. This feature significantly improves performance with excellent uniformity of response over the whole array area, ideal for applications such as microscopy.

Toshiba Introduces New CMOS Image Sensor for Automotive Mitigates LED Flicker

Toshiba Corporation (TOKYO:6502) today announced that it has developed a new 2-megapixel (MP) CMOS image sensor for automotive cameras, “CSA02M00PB”, equipped with the industry’s first*1 LED flicker mitigation function. Sample shipments start in March, 2016. The new sensor will be exhibited at the 22nd ITS World Congress 2015 in Bordeaux, France, from October 5 to 9.
