Greenlight Initiative (GLI), a USA headquartered LED-lighting sales and solutions provider, announced the successful installation of a complete LED-based lighting system for the first of a number of new Marco's Pizza franchise restaurants across Georgia.

Greenlight Initiative has announced one of the first commercially successful deployments of an LED-based lighting installation for large exterior marker-sign applications. The internal illumination of the 2 by 8-foot remotely-mounted building marker-sign was based on Albeo Technologies’ state-of-the-art white LED fluorescent troffer retrofit kit directly integrated to the sign’s solar power system. With the installation, the uniformity of the sign's illumination was increased, while power requirements were decreased by as much as 70%.

Recently, Greenlight Initiative, a New York City based LED-lighting sales organization and solutions provider, announced its plans to implement full third party photometric testing and qualification for all of its product lines beginning January 2009. This program, intended to independently verify and extend upon any available manufacturers’ test data, is in addition to Greenlight’s previously announced qualitative evaluation program.
