Osram Invests in IoT Company to Strengthen its Digital Solution Development

Apart from the buyout talk confirmation, Osram also announced that it has purchased shares of Beaconinside, a German company developing IoT solutions, for expanding its digital business in location-based services. Osram aims to integrate Beaconinside’s IoT solution for retails, smart city and logistics with its sensor technology to extend product portfolio such as beacon. As the nation prepares to celebrate Labor Day Weekend, a time for recognizing the hard work of American workers, the maker of SYLVANIA light bulbs in the United States is announcing it has invested millions of dollars to keep and add local manufacturing jobs and increase U.S. production of something we all depend on – the light bulb. MicroVision Announces $3.15 Million Investment from a Current Shareholder

MicroVision, specializing in innovative ultra-miniature laser display and sensing technology, announced that on August 28, 2017 it sold 1.5 million unregistered shares to a private investor who is also a current shareholder at a price of $2.10 per share, for aggregate consideration of $3.15 million. The last closing sale price of MicroVision’s common stock on August 28, 2017 was $2.19. MicroVision intends to use the proceeds from the issuance for general corporate purposes.
