Samsung just released three new 240Hz LED TVs, the PAVV 8000, 7000 and 6000 series, for competing with LG’s 240Hz LH90 LED TVs. These series are compatible with YouTube, DLNA, and feature a USB 2.0 port to display both photos and DviX videos from USB flash drives.
Coming in 46 and 55 inch, The PAVV 8000 series will be available in May in the US, Europe and Southeast Asia, while the PAVV 7000 and 6000 series will not be available for the time being.

A $65 million advertising plan has been rolled out by Samsung to promote its LED-back-lit LCD TVs, which will involve online advertising, extensive in-store merchandising displays, print advertising, national network and cable TV spots and mall showcases, lasting from end of March till end of June.

Samsung Electronics Co. has launched today its first LED TV products in global markets.
The new line of LED flat panel TVs include Series 8000, 7000 and 6000, coming from 32-inch to 55-inch in sizes. With LEDs as the primary light source, the new TVs feature ultra-high contrast ratios compared to the traditional TVs using Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps. And the motion blur and image judder problems typically affecting LCD TVs have also been substantially reduced in the new LED TVs, said the company.
