RiTdisplay Expects Micro LED Mass Production in 2020

PMOLED specialist RiTdisplay announced that the company plans to launch Micro LED and Mini LED products in 2020 with volume production and expects profit boom in the coming year. Worldwide OLED Revenues Up 60% in Q308, But Still Face Price Competition from LCDs

The worldwide OLED display revenue in Q308 was US$141 million, down 11% quarter by quarter, but up 60% year by year, according to market sources. Chi Mei EL, the second supplier of AMOLED displays, posted record high shipments in Q308, while the leading AMOLED supplier Samsung SDI experienced lower shipments quarter by quarter. As a result, AMOLED shipments increased only slightly compared to Q208 reaching 1.7 million units.
