Shanghai Felio Acoustics rebutted misleading reports claiming its affiliated company INESA is building a new LED plant in France that could create 200 to 300 new jobs in the country.

With growing worldwide demand for innovative lighting products, Osram established a second LED plant in Kunshan, China on Sep. 10 to further expand its production capacity in the district. The new LED plant will hire 500 employees in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, mainly to manufacture automotive lighting and display lighting products.

A Japanese group has scheduled to set up a $200-million LED light factory in the Philippines by the end of 2012, expecting to create one of the world’s largest LED light factories, according to Japan Environment Technology Development Co., Ltd.
