LEDinside, a division of the global market research firm TrendForce, held an exclusive analyst symposium on April 15 at Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall. During this special meet-and-greet event, LEDinside analyst based in Taiwan and Mainland China gathered together to share their latest findings with attendees. The main topic of the symposium was the growing niche or “Blue Ocean” markets for LED technology, such as UV LED, IR LED and automotive LED products. The average monthly price of sapphire has fallen by more than 30% year on year this September, according to the latest 2015 Global Sapphire and LED Chip Market Report by LEDinside, a division of TrendForce. This decline is the result of suppliers expanding their production capacities despite the weaker-than-expected demand.
