ROHM Develops New LED Driver to Achieve Less Power Consumption for LCD TV Panels

ROHM Co., Ltd. (Kyoto-based) developed a 4-wire LED driver for LCD TV panels, achieving significantly lower power consumption. According to the available information and confirmation from relevant TV makers, the power consumption of backlight accounts for approximately 70% of the total power consumed by the LCD panel, therefore it has always been a major issue most manufacturers have focused.
