The 4-day Taiwan International Lighting Show and LED Taiwan 2016 held at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center formally started today (April 13). The Bureau of Foreign Trade, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), and Taiwan Lighting Fixture Export Association jointly organized the Taiwan International Lighting Show (TILS). Meanwhile, TAITRA and SEMI Taiwan also joined forces for the third time to host LED Taiwan. These exhibits attracted a total of 238 exhibitors and companies from 9 countries and provided a total of 748 stalls, making it the largest and most professional exhibit in Taiwan for professional illumination technologies and applications. It is expected to attract 16,000 visitors, professionals, and potential buyers.

Company representatives from LiteOn, China Electric and Monocrystal urged Taiwanese LED manufacturers to direct resources to develop niche market products, instead of developing products in the overtly competitive general lighting and application markets during a press conference for the upcoming lighting show LED Taiwan at Taipei World Trade Center Club, Taiwan. 

The sapphire industry has never been the same since Apple dropped sapphire screens in iPhone 6 in 2014, followed with the bankruptcy of GTAT in October the same year. Things have been rough and hard for the sapphire industry over the last three years, as it enters a restructure phase, said Jerry Chen, General Manager, Taiwan, Monocrystal during a press conference held by Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) at Taipei World Trade Center Club, Taiwan on Tuesday.

LED Taiwan to take place in Hall 1 of Nangang Exhibition Center starting this Wednesday has added three new theme pavilions including LED Components, Power Device Pavilion, Smart Lighting Pavilions, said organizers during a press conference held at Taipei World Trade Center Club, Taiwan earlier this afternoon.

The minimum defined contents and format of the specification sheet are provided.

As crews installed the 30,000th energy efficient L.E.D. (light emitting diode) streetlight fixture of a planned 50,000 units in Hempstead Town, Supervisor Anthony J. The latest report from LEDinside, a division of TrendForce, finds the total value of the global LED market (include both visible and non-visible LED products) arrived at US$14.32 billion in 2015, representing YoY growth of -3%. The market witnessed its first annual decline in value last year mainly because of the price war among the LED manufacturers, with the ASPs of some mainstream LED packages suffering a drop of 40% or more compared with 2014. UV-A LEDs are primarily used for curing. Presently, curing also represents 52% of the UV-A market in terms of applications.
