According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, due to a potential fire hazard, around 42,000 LED lamps which are made by Maine-based Eco-Story are being recalled voluntarily. When used with a Class II transformer, the lamp can overheat and cause a fire risk. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, but there have been two reports of overheating.
