Royal Philips Electronics has posted a fourth-quarter loss due to a worse performance by its lighting, health care arms, as well as television business. Netherlands based Lemnis Lighting’s Pharox 300 LED light bulb was named "Best of the Test" by the Dutch Consumers' Union.
According to the company, the test, conducted in October 2011, pitted the 6-watt Pharox 300 against five other LED bulbs readily available in Europe. The Pharox bulb scored ten out of ten on four of the test's ten criteria: light output, light color, lifetime, and turning directly on.
