In accordance to global warming, in order to save electricity, lighting sensors have become widely used in areas where there is little passing traffic. Passive infrared (PIR) lighting sensors adopt the human body moving detection principle to control several lights on the same circuit. Also, we can use many PIR lighting sensors to control several lights on many circuits. Thus, detection area, lighting area and illumination can be planned flexibly. However, as for smaller spaces and little demand for lighting, the PIR lighting sensor combined with an illuminant is a convenient d...

Hybrid capacitors, a combination of an ultracapacitor and a lithium-ion battery, providing a longer term energy source than alternative energy storage solutions on the market.
Hybrid capacitors have an energy density up to 115 percent higher than standard electric double-layer capacitors (ELDCs). This allows for faster and more efficient power to applications such as LED lights used in medical devices. Compared with a nickel cadmium or lithium-ion battery, hybrid capacitors provide more than 20 times the cycle life and 60 times faster recharge rates, vastly improving LED lig...

As the luminous efficiency of LED chip was not high at early stage, it has not been able to achieve indoor lighting requirement therefore could only be applied at lower lumen lighting goods. LED spotlight has gradually replaced the traditional halogen lamp because there is no ultraviolet or infrared ray emitted from LED lighting, and it does not deteriorate on displayed goods. However, as the LED base generates high-temperature heat so most manufacturers can only use aluminum forming shell as heat-dissipation solution. As the result, the current LED spotlights have the alum...

The U.S. market has taken the lead in proving the viability of LED technology for outdoor lighting applications. Although China has more installations, it has become the first casualty of quality issues. The Chinese market for outdoor lighting shrank in 2011 in order to address these quality issues. Elsewhere, especially in North America, quality consciousness has kept progress towards transitioning to LEDs thanks to the efforts of the DOE, the Municipal Solid-State Street Lighting Consortium, and the Design Lights Consortium. The 20%-25% drop in price of LED ...

ProFlixSales is now offering High CRI LED Video lighting at affordable prices.
LED lighting for Video has been gaining popularity steadily over the past years. Videographers love LED lighting for their cool lighting, low power and durability. The issue has been the quality of the light. How "true" a light is to its stated Temperature is measured in CRI (Color Rendering Index). Standard LED lighting often has a low CRI, sometimes as low as 70. This means that although the light may be rated at 5600K Daylight, the color may be off. High CRI...
