Orion Energy Systems, a designer and manufacturer of high performance, energy-efficient LED retrofit lighting products, announced it has secured $0.8M in contracts to supply its LED lighting retrofit solutions to two U.S. Veteran's Health Administration (VA) hospitals in Florida and Washington. Installations are underway and expected to be completed by the end of the 2017 calendar year.

Tri-State LED, a division of Revolution Lighting Technologies, today announced it has recently completed an LED lighting retrofit for AERCO International, Inc., a leading manufacturer of commercial condensing boilers, high efficiency water heaters and energy recovery solutions. The retrofit occurred throughout the company’s corporate headquarters, including their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, located in Blauvelt, New York, retrofitting existing lighting that is expected to reduce the facility’s lighting energy use by more than 65%.   

Operating in Turkey for 87 years, Philips Lighting has installed the first Philips ArenaVision LED pitch lighting system in Turkey at the Sinan Erdem Arena. Energy efficient pitch and stand lighting was installed at the sports arena ahead of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four on May 19-21. The pitch lighting meets the latest International Basketball Federation (FIBA) standards for TV broadcasting and can be used to enhance the fan experience through dazzling light and music shows.

At the "Bergstation", recreational sportsmen, hobby/professional climbers and boulderers can scale 80 routes within a climbing area of more than 1,000 square metres both indoors and outdoors. Osram developed a customised, high-performance and efficient LED lighting solution for the climbing centre, enabling cost-efficient operation of the system and contributing to climbers having ideal sight and therefore a safe grip throughout.

Philips Lighting announced that its Philips iColor Accent MX Powercore LED lights provided the interactive digital lighting for the exterior architectural frame of Montreal’s iconic Jacques Cartier Bridge Illumination.  The bridge illumination was unveiled during a grand opening celebration earlier this week to commemorate both Montreal’s 375th birthday and Canada’s 150th.

Power Iluminare has recently joined efforts with Fortius Electromecanica to create a joint venture to supply public lighting for the next 18 years to Zapopan, a city with a population of 1.2 million. The contract for the project has a net worth of more than USD $238,751,010 and will include the installation, maintenance and operation of over 70,000 streetlights.

Philips Lighting has designed and delivered a sophisticated fitting room lighting system for Popper, a luxury tailors for ladies in Prague. The Popper salon, which opened recently in the city center, lets customers try on clothes under different lighting conditions. A simple flick of a switch in the fitting room installed with Philips AmbiScene lighting enables them to select accurate reproduction of bright daylight, an intimate evening ambience or a pleasant household light.

The newly constructed 40,000 square foot sports facility, which officially opened on April 2nd, will utilize high efficiency LED lighting and control solutions to improve lighting energy use by more than 60% versus conventional lighting technologies.

Garou Blancan from XYZ Cultural Technology chose 16 i-2 POI wash lights and 6 G-Profile POI moving heads to create this island show.

Recently, legendary driver Terry Grant repeated his Jaguar SUV F-PACE loop-the-loop stunt on a 19 meter ramp. This time, the setting was located on the famous sea front the Bund in Shanghai. Grant’s first time performing this hazardous act was in Frankfurt, Germany, where he actually broke the Guinness World Record back in 2015. Both times, production company Imagination highlighted the event with SGM G-Spot moving heads, ensuring that the impressive spectacle was highlighted in a worthy and festive manner.

As part of Bright Brussels Festival, ACTLD (ACT Lighting Design) contributed with a very innovative art installation as a total immersion of light, sound and mist. Lighting-wise, the spectacle was purely comprised by SGM LED fixtures.
